How to play Misprint.

Misprint is a free daily word puzzle with a mixed-up alphabet. Each of the six clues has a printed word beside it. Follow the clues and swap letters until every word is right.

One swap changes every word.

  1. Choose two letters. Tap them on the board or the alphabet below it. On a computer, you can type the two letters.
  2. Press Swap. Every occurrence of those letters trades places across the whole board. For example, swapping P and T turns every P into T, and every T into P.
  3. Follow the clues. A check appears when a whole word matches its clue. Repair all six words to finish the puzzle.
For example · Neckwear

PIETIE

Swap P and T. The same swap applies everywhere.

A little nonsense is part of it.

Repaired words still take part in later swaps, so a correct word can change again. Look across all six clues before choosing your next pair. The words in between do not have to make sense.

Take your time.

There is no timer or mistake limit. Undo and hints are always free. “A little hint” can point you toward a letter, reveal a clue’s answer, or suggest a swap from your current board.

A fresh puzzle every day.

The daily edition changes at midnight in your timezone. Your progress saves in this browser, so you can come back to an unfinished repair on the same device. No account or download is needed to play.

Share the repair, keep the surprise.

When every word is right, use “Share your repair” to share your result and a link to Misprint. The result includes your swap and hint counts without giving away the answers.
