Let’s put it right.

How do I play?

Use the clues to repair the printed words. Select two letters, then press Swap. Every occurrence of those letters trades places across the whole board—even in words you’ve already repaired. Words that match their clues receive a check. Intermediate nonsense is allowed.

Am I stuck?

Undo is always free. “A little hint” starts with a useful letter, then reveals a clue’s answer, then suggests a pair to select. Hints use your current board, so they still help after experiments. Starting over returns the words to their printed form; your attempts still count.

What is a clean repair?

A clean repair uses the fewest possible swaps with no hints, undo, or restarting. There’s no timer and no mistake limit. Every completed repair is worth enjoying.

Will my puzzle be saved?

Progress saves automatically in this browser. Use the same browser and device to return to it. Completed editions stay marked as repaired when you return that day. Private browsing, clearing site data, or blocking local storage can remove or prevent saves. Browser progress does not currently sync with the app or another device.

When does the puzzle change?

Edition 001 is Saturday, October 24, 2026. The daily edition follows your device’s local calendar date and changes at midnight. If you’re still working on yesterday’s repair, you can finish it before opening the new one. When no edition is available, you can still try the introduction.

Can I play past editions?

The website offers today’s puzzle. The daily archive and extra collections are planned for Misprint Plus in the iPhone and iPad app, with a one-time in-app purchase.

Where is the iPhone app?

Coming soon for iPhone and iPad. The app will share this daily edition and include 20 free Original Edition puzzles. The daily puzzle here is complete and free to play.
